Martin Hernandez – Project/Business Management Systems

Martin is an IT professional specializing in Project Management & Control systems with twenty five years international and multi-industry experience. He has:

  • extensive experience as a Systems Integrator and Systems Architect;
  • experience on Energy, Construction, Aerospace and IT projects, on mega-projects and multi-project programs, and with international project teams;
  • a thorough understanding of project management and consulting methodologies.

His recent client engagements have included: Chevron/Unocal, Intertek CB, Pemex, Ecopetrol, Banco de Credito, and Alpina.

Martin was first associated with PSC as a client in 1981 and then joined PSC on a full-time basis in 1982, first in Caracas and then Houston. Martin worked on several projects for PSC in the USA, Europe and Asia, including assignments with Sohio Alaska, GE, Lockheed, NTT, Union Pacific Rail and BP Columbia. Subsequently he was PSC’s Product Manager, responsible for the design, development, maintenance and support of PSC’s proprietary MAX Project Management Applications. The product was used by NASA and many of its subcontractors on programs that included the Space Shuttle and the Space Station, as well as a number of E&C firms. The product was also a solution mandated by ESA for industry contractors for the Columbus Program.
Subsequently, Martin was IT Director, Latin America for Intertek Caleb Brett responsible for controlling IT Projects for the Region (14 countries and 57 offices), as well as managing a team of technical specialists in performing Application and Data Management, Help Desk Support and Infrastructure support.

Martin is fluent in English and Spanish and has some knowledge of Italian and Portuguese. He has a B.Sc. Electronic and Systems Engineering (UAM, México City). He has dual citizenship - USA and Mexican.
