IBM Schweiz
By the late 1980’s, PSC’s highly-successful MAX Project
Management Applications based on Metier’s ARTEMIS was a
mature product and needed to be re-platformed. We selected IBM
as our new partner and AS (IBM’s decision support product)
and DB2 (IBM’s database product) as the new platform for
our product, Impact 2000.
While
we enjoyed an effective, formal Product Partner relationship with
the IBM Warwick Lab (home of AS) in the UK, we were unable to
fully engage with IBM’s US Sales. We did, however, secure
a major implementation of Impact 2000 with IBM Switzerland,
as the cornerstone of their country-wide Customer Services Management
practice. This solution included customized extensions
to Impact 2000, which we built through a team co-located with
IBM in Zurich. The resulting implementation was highly successful,
and was awarded formal recognition within IBM as ‘worldwide
best-of-breed’ for IBM’s internal Services Management
process.
